Ramon Allones No.3
Ramon Allones No.3
The Cigar
The Ramon Allones Allones No.3 measures 5 5/8” (138mm) x 52 and is presented in labelled boxes of ten cigars. The size is redolent of the internationally popular Montecristo Edmundo (being just 3mm shorter) and is known as a Nobleza in the cigar factories of Cuba.
The only time this size has been seen before was in 2017 with the Limited Edition, Partagas Serie No.1. Ramón Allones plays a major role in the centuries old story of Havana cigars. Founded in 1837, it is also one of the oldest brands still in production, second only to Por Larrañaga (1834).
Between 1911 and 1927 Hunters & Frankau owned the Ramon Allones factory in Havana as well as the world wide brand rights. It is perhaps understandable then that we are particularly pleased to see this new addition to the classic range, the first in well over 40 years. Full flavoured, all the cigars are made ‘tripa larga, totalmente a mano’ – long filler, totally handmade. They are made with a blend of filler and binder tobaccos harvested exclusively from the Vuelta Abajo zone of Pinar del Rio, characterised by its intense and complex taste.
Montecristo Wide Edmundo
The Cigar
Habanos SA is introducing a new extension to its Montecristo Edmundo line with the Montecristo Wide Edmundo.
Montecristo Edmundo is a series under the Montecristo line named after Edmund Dantes, the title character from The Count of Montecristo.
Keeping to the theme of 50+ ring gauge the Montecristo Edmundo releases are known for, the Montecristo Wide Edmundo is a Duke No. 3 measuring 54 x 125 mm (54 x 4 59⁄64″).
It will be presented in ten and 25-count boxes. Habanos SA says a tube offering will also be offered.
